PROFILE

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

 

 

Dr. Aminur Rahman Khan is a Professor of Mathematics at the Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh since November, 2018. He has been serving as a faculty member in this university since 2006. His research and teaching interests includes analytical geometry, calculus, fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy number, inventory model, linear algebra, numerical analysis, operations research, ordinary differential equations, programming in C, programming in Fortran, programming in Matlab and special functions. He was born in Shariatpur district of Bangladesh and completed his schooling from Damudya Muslim High School, Shariatpur. He finished his HSC from Government Science College, Dhaka and then went to Jahangirnagar University earning his Bachelor and Master degrees in Mathematics. He passed the B. Sc. (Honours) and M. Sc. examination in 2000 and 2001 respectively from the Department of Mathematics, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh and was placed in the First class occupying First position in both B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc.. He was awarded ‘Talent Pool Scholarship Award – 2000’ by Jahangirnagar University for outstanding academic achievement in Bachelor of Science (Honours) examination. He is awarded Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics with specialization in Operations Research from the same University in 2012 and 2017 respectively. He received the EU sponsored "Erasmus-Mundus project cLINK” scholarship at the Faculty of Textiles, Leather and Industrial Management, ‘Gheorghe Asachi’ Technical University of Iasi, Romania for 23 months of mobility from 11th August 2014 to 29th June 2016 as Exchange Ph. D Program. He has, to his credit, a good number of publications in some reputed national and international journals.
